When I first arrived to Georgia in 2013, I was sure to hire a tour guide for a weeklong excursion for an overview of this small nation. I was delighted and fascinated by the culture and the sights. This appetizer was enough for me to return the next year for another taste. Slowly, my familiarity, friends, and eventual family developed so that now I am now a permanent resident following years of returning and settling in country.
This frontier like land of possibilities is a retro America for me. At only a fraction of the size of The USA, it is easy to drive from border to border in just a day, making it very easy to access the best of countryside escapes from the capital of Tbilisi.
